National, public public facilities

You can check for discounts by looking at the list of discounts in the posted rate table.
For reference, a 50% discount applies to public performance halls (excluding rentals) and public sports facilities.
Transportation facility fee
1. Urban rail fares (subway, train) are completely free. However, it is convenient to issue a welfare card with a credit card.
2. KTX, Saemaeul, railroad
In the case of the Mugunghwa and commuter trains, all persons with disabilities receive a 50% discount.
For KTX and Saemaeul, people with severe disabilities (grades 1-3) receive a 50% discount for themselves and one accompanying guardian, and those with mild disabilities (grades 4-6) receive a 30% discount. However, in the case of people with mild disabilities, discounts are not available on Saturdays and holidays, but only on weekdays.
When making train reservations, you can make reservations online on the KORAIL homepage by selecting the level of disability in the number of people in the reservation window at the reservation window, or at the window when making reservations at stations.
3. Coastal passenger ship fare discount
In the case of a severely disabled person, a 50% discount is applied to the person accompanying the person with severe disabilities. Only 20% discount is available for people with mild disabilities. To get a discount, present your disability welfare card when purchasing a ticket.
4. Air fare discount
For domestic airfare, Korean Air offers a 50% discount for the severely disabled (including one guardian), a 50% discount for the person with a disability of level 4, and a 30% discount for the person with a disability of level 5-6. A special note is that a 75% discount is applied to children with disabilities.
If you register information as a person with a disability in the personal information section of SKYPASS, you can check in at the airport without checking your welfare card.
In the case of Asiana Airlines, a person with a severe disability and one accompanying guardian receive a 50% discount, and a person with a mild disability receives a 30% discount.
Airport fees are 50% discounted for all persons with disabilities, and in the case of severely disabled persons, accompanying guardians are also 50% discounted.
5. Discount on parking fees at public parking lots
In public parking lots, a 50% discount is given only to vehicles driven or boarded by persons with disabilities. However, each local government may be different.
6. Highway toll gate fee discount
Disabled people can get a 50% discount if they present their welfare card at the toll gate only for vehicles registered as disabled vehicles at the community service center. However, it is limited to cases where a person with a disability is driving or riding.
In order to receive discounts at Hi-Pass, you must install a Hi-Pass terminal for the disabled, take the terminal to a community center or Korea Expressway Corporation Hi-Pass Center, and register your fingerprint before using it.
When using the highway, fingerprint recognition is performed on the terminal before use, but please remember that you must pass through the toll booth within 4 hours as it is only valid for 4 hours after fingerprint recognition.
If you turn off the engine after fingerprint authentication, you must re-authenticate.
Communication fee discount
All persons with disabilities can receive a 35% discount on communication charges (cell phone charges).
And only one mobile phone can be discounted.
Discounts on Internet and IP TV rates are also possible, but the range of discounts is much larger when you use these Internet rates for 2 or 3 years, so it is advantageous to combine them and receive a discount with a contract discount.
