Physical examination
The physical examination fee is 7,000 won for Class 1 large/special licenses and 6,000 won for other licenses. You must bring your ID and three color photos (3.5cm x 4.5cm) taken within the past six months.

The physical examination determines whether the test taker has any physical problems related to driving. It includes hearing, color blindness, and vision tests. Tests can be completed at the driver’s license examination center or a hospital.

Academic Examination
The written exam consists of 1,000 questions from a pre-released question bank. The exam is administered via a computer at the license examination center. To pass, you must complete 40 questions within 40 minutes and score 70 points or higher for Class 1 or 60 points or higher for Class 2.

A fee of 10,000 won applies for the written exam, and 8,000 won applies for the motorized vehicle exam.

Skills Examination
The skills exam involves driving a designated course at the license examination center. You will be tested on various aspects, including vehicle control, lane following, sudden stops, left and right turns, and parking. Nearby car dealerships

The skills exam fee is 25,000 won for large/special vehicles, 25,000 won for Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles, 14,000 won for Class 2 small vehicles, and 10,000 won for motorized vehicles.

Road Driving
The road driving test, the most challenging and stressful of all driver’s license tests, requires you to drive a vehicle with a proctor for approximately 5 kilometers, comprehensively assessing your driving skills and compliance with traffic laws.

Please note that the road driving test costs 30,000 won, and a 10,000 won fee is charged to obtain your license after passing.
