경주 비단벌레차 예약 Gyeongju Silkworm Car Reservation

After reserving the Silkworm Car, I took the Silkworm Electric Train to explore Cheomseongdae, Kyochon Village, and more.

Ahead of my trip to Gyeongju with my children,

I was wondering how to easily see the various tourist attractions in Gyeongju while traveling with children.

I discovered this and booked the Silkworm Car and took it for myself.

I also took photos of the information boards about silkworms and Silla culture on one side.

The sign explains the historical and cultural value of silkworms and explains that to help tourists visiting Silla cultural heritage sites associate silkworms with them and to shed new light on the wisdom our ancestors used in their daily lives, silkworm electric vehicles are being operated around Cheomseongdae,

where Silla artifacts are most abundant.

We made a reservation online in advance and arrived at the boarding location at our silkworm car reservation time.

We were supposed to arrive at the silkworm boarding location 10 minutes before our reservation time.

You can also search for the silkworm ticket office on your navigation system.

The ticket office is located at the entrance to Cheomseongdae,

and the silkworm car boarding location is directly across from it,

making it easy to find.

If you arrive at the right time, they will confirm your reservation and provide you with instructions before boarding.

Children were guided to sit inside the adult compartment,

and while riding the Vidal Bug Train,

they were given explanations about historical sites,

so if you were traveling with children,

we were instructed to be mindful of their noise.

The staff assigned seats directly.

After the four of us sat down in a row,

the Vidal Bug Train finally departed!

First, we toured Cheomseongdae,

and then,

we were able to comfortably sit in the vehicle and tour the historical, cultural, and historic sites surrounding Cheomseongdae.

After reserving the Vidal Bug Train, we took the Vidal Bug Train to explore Cheomseongdae, Kyochon Village, and other attractions.

Ttungi said he couldn’t hear the explanation well because of the noisy children behind him.

He seemed more focused on the story,

while Ggul, struggling with sleepiness,

was very quiet on the ride.

Riding the silkworm train

and listening to the cultural commentary at the historic site, my six-year-old,

said she never slept, even though her eyes were closed.

That’s understandable,

but she persevered until the end, lol.

Admirably, she retained a lot of the explanations she had heard.

After the tour concluded,

we returned to our starting point, passing Cheomseongdae.

On our trip to Gyeongju with children,

we were able to comfortably tour various sites while listening to explanations on the silkworm train

and were satisfied with our silkworm train reservation.

However,

the children in the back seat were

noisy when we boarded,

but it wasn’t terribly loud.

The audio was too low,

so it was difficult to hear the explanations.

After that, we went to Cheomseongdae with the kids to get a closer look at the Cheomseongdae we’d heard about on the silkworm car.

We got a closer look at Cheomseongdae,

learned about it,

and took a souvenir photo.

After reserving the silkworm car, we took the silkworm electric car to tour Cheomseongdae and Kyochon Village (2)

After getting off the silkworm car,

Dad asked a quiz about the role of the stone ice storage,

and Ttong-i exclaimed, “Microwave!!!!!!!” Yeah… Yeah, that’s it.

Following that, after hearing about its role as an ice storage and refrigerator,

we were so impressed that we mentioned the Silla-era refrigerator several times after our trip.

Seokbinggodo is etched in my children’s memories.

I’ll have to go back. I’m also curious about the night view from Cheomseongdae.

Since we were only able to see Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond from afar,

we regret not being able to see them up close and in more detail.

When the children are older, if we return to Gyeongju,

we’d like to take the silkworm car and walk together.

We’d like to see Seokbinggodo and Kyochon Village.
